Su Madre: Some of the best Pulled pork I’ve had in the city. Brisket was juicy! The Beef Rib was insane. I also really enjoyed the Shells and Cheese along with the chipotle slaw. My Cuba libre while waiting in line was excellent, and it was very appreciated since it’s not a common drink at most places here. Traditional bbq sauce is not my favorite but I feel in love with that red liquid sauce.

Jennifer Zimmerer: In town from TN for a wedding and saw lots of recommendations for this spot. Easy street parking, waited around 15min in line outside at noon on a Thursday. Best bite was definitely the sliced brisket sandwich - super juicy brisket with tasty pickles and onions on top. Split a side of pickles, potato salad, and Mac n cheese which were good but not life changing. Rotating frozen cocktails were tasty and they have lots of bar offerings. Bonus was a server taking drink orders while we waited in line! Definitely recommend this as a lunch spot on your Austin travels.Parking: Lots of available free street parking

Bane H: Our first time in Austin and we definitely couldn't leave without trying BBQ in the area. We were recommended La Barbecue by a BBQ enthusiast and it did not disappoint. The 45+min wait added to the experience so no complaints there. We really enjoyed ordering drinks while waiting in line. Ordering food was a quicker and easier process for someone like me who had no clue what to order. So I got a little bit of everything plus a big order of the shells and cheese. Lots of seating area outside and inside as well. PS: Restrooms were so much fun 🤣Kid-friendliness: Bring the kids if they don't mind the wait. There is a water station up front. My two kids didn't mind the almost one hour wait theybsaid the food was worth it .. especially the shells and cheese.

Royce Johnson: to hold your spot in the line and then go find parking.

Emily Price: I never thought I would wait 3 hours for food but when in Austin you do all the things. They do run out of food so if you can, get there early. We got the last of the brisket when we walked in to order. They have an awesome outdoor patio for seating and iced water outside to drink while you wait in line. The best Mac and Cheese I’ve ever had. Meat falls apart and is so flavorful.

Fernando vera: Food: 5/5

D Scott Brown: , but still long enough for us to enjoy the drinks we got at the bar-- my son, a bottled Mexican Coke, and me, a Dr. Pepe cocktail

Stephen C. Webster: Chuck steak is a little dry and lacks seasoning. Kale Caesar needed more dressing and salt. I was unable to order cornbread from the register, only at the bar, for some reason. Potatoes and beef chorizo was fine. Beef fat chips were stellar. Hog hash and rice wasn't my jam, but I LOVED the beef barbacoa. I'm being a little tough on these guys because they're the hotness right now, and also because I cook a better chuck steak. Went hoping to be impressed. Instead I came away full and pleased, because now I'm thinking I can do this too.

Bhavin Gandhi: Great food, definitely a great alternative to Franklin's.Their L&L Burger is excellentChicken not so greatEverything else was awesome definitely a new GoTo place for me.

Sharyn: .The plated food was unfortunately average and to be honest, we did not finish it. I know everyone says great things but either they were having a bad day when we visited or we have just had better. The burger however, was superb! Cooked perfectly and something we would definitely have again - but nothing else.If we hadn’t ordered the burger this would have been a 3 star review.

Josh Poles: Bomb bbq, amazing sides, killer dessert. So good!!!

SamE: The meat was SO tender and all the sides were great! We got the brisket, beef ribs, creamed corn, coleslaw, green beans, Mac + Cheese and cornbread. They charge you by the pound for the meat, so next time we probably won't get the beef rib because there's a huge heavy bone that you're getting charged for, not just the meat. Also when you're sitting outside, make sure not to leave your food unattended because the birds aren't shy!! 😂 Might just steal a noodle off your plate.

Holly Johnson: We loved our barbecue meal at Terry Black’s! The line was long, but it moved quickly and it was nice to get a cold beer while waiting in line. We ordered the brisket, pork ribs and cheese sausage with mac & cheese, coleslaw, and beans & rice as sides. I don’t know why no one has mentioned the beans and rice in their reviews. They were phenomenal! The brisket was delicious as was the sausage. Don’t bother with the pork ribs stick with the beef ribs. The mac & cheese was also really good . Definitely hit up Terry Black’s if you are in Austin!

MJ: My friend recommended this place as one of the top barbecue spots in Austin. We had beef brisket, beef rib, sausage, banana pudding, coleslaw, and potato salad. The meats were tender with a smoky flavor. Unfortunately, they were a bit too salty, making it hard to fully enjoy the taste. This place was the saltiest barbecue I've had in Texas. The banana pudding was just ordinary and had a slightly off taste. However, the coleslaw and potato salad were good. Be prepared for a long wait; I waited more than 40 minutes for my order on a Monday evening.Parking: They have their own parking lot, but finding openings can be difficult. There is a paid parking place near the restaurant.

Allison Foster: The line moves quickly. However, be strong, they will talk you into waaay more than you need or want and the next thing you know your tray is $50+ for one person! If you don't plan on going home right away you end up wasting a lot of delicious food.2 slices of smoked turkey was 16$ alone, not including sides. Mac and cheese & banana pudding was crazy good!

Max Tollefsen: Came here on the recommendation of a restaurant owner in Houston whose food I love. I drove out here from South Austin with three friends and I'm happy I did.The place was near full at the time with a 20 minute wait to order then another 20 or so for food to come out but it was worth it. Food was amazing. Got to try the beef fajita taco, chicken fajita taco, pulled chicken sandwich, and the sliced brisket sandwich. Everything was so good I had trouble deciding what to make my last bite and end on.The inside is beautiful with a rustic feel in a small warehouse like space and the back wall is almost all glass so you get a great view of the outside. Can't wait to come here again.Parking: Parking on site with plenty of available spots. Street parking also nearby but doubt you'll need it.

henry cadena: . The beans were ok, just bland. And not much to say about the pulled pork.I'd still recommend this place because of the atmosphere and the brisket and tacos were great. I'd like to try the ribs but they were out. I recognize that this place also has a lot of service issues given what's been told to me by other friends and also looks like the owner is getting new management. I look forward to visiting again once it opens back up.

G Wat: . The peach cobbler was also good. Meal was great all around. It was pretty pricey, about $95 for 2 adults and 2 kids but the food was very good. Service was also fast and friendly.

Justin Myers: The Pirate Hunter’s Google Food Review with @AmericanFoodReviewerOfficial on IG is back for another 5 star gem - this time out of Austin, Texas!I recently had the pleasure of dining at Black's Barbecue in Austin, Texas, and I must say, it was an exceptional BBQ experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The atmosphere was cozy, with rustic decor that added to the charm of the place. The aroma of smoked meats filled the air, building anticipation for the feast to come. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, where do I begin? The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a perfect smoke ring and a heavenly crust. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, showcasing the expertise and dedication that goes into crafting such outstanding barbecue. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, coated in a finger-licking sauce that left me craving for more. But it's not just about the meats; the sides were equally impressive. The mac and cheese was creamy and indulgent, the coleslaw was fresh and tangy, and the cornbread was a delightful blend of sweet and savory. As you can see from The photos, I tried nearly everything on their menu and it is legit!!!The service at Black's Barbecue was also top-notch. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive withOverall, my experience at Black's Barbecue was nothing short of five stars. If you're in Austin and craving authentic Texas BBQ, look no further than Black's. It's a culinary journey you won't soon forget.

Will Basnight: I dropped by for lunch with the wife. Line was long but moved pretty quickly. Staff is helpful and friendly. Food was amazing. Brisket and turkey was juicy and full of flavor. Ribs are tender and seasoned well. Street corn has a little kick and mac n cheese is super cheesy. Potato salad was good as well. We will definitely be dropping by again.
