Andrew Grover: While the majority of my friends were at different hotels around Austin I had the privilege of staying at this hotel. The location was superb and the restaurants were terrific. The Bartenders at the Roaring Fork and the upstairs Cigar/Bourbon Lounge were so fun to talk with and the views of the Texas Capitol were phenomenal. The room had everything you needed. It was not crowded at all, which I loved but that seemed to be a rarity!
Eric Rodriguez: Nice boutique hotel, directly next to the Paramount Theatre. I took my wife to a show next door for her birthday, and we decided to stay in Austin instead of driving back at night. You can't beat the location and the food/drink options here and around here are prevalent. Valet parking was convenient. The rooms are nice and cozy with good views. Some of the charging ports were a little dated a the desk and only one side table had plug options, but we found a way to get everything plugged in. We had originally picked this hotel because it had an indoor pool, but the pool was way too chlorinated to enter and it was uncomfortable just being in the room. All-in-all, we'll had a good stay and will probably be back if we have plans in the immediate area again.Rooms: Nice rooms, but I noticed that all the plugs on the desk were loose and wouldn't hold a plug. There also weren't any USB ports at the desk. The bed had USB ports for charging on one side, but none on the other. No USB-c charging ports. Shower/Tub Combo and separate powder area in the bathroom. Single vanity, but reasonable amount of counter space with a small shelf and powder area.Nearby activities: Bars, theaters, and restaurants surround the place.Walkability: Very walkable to the capital, UT, 6th street, and other downtown hot spots.
Justin Godwin: The location can't be beat! The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel -- from the common areas to the rooms -- are nice and clean. However the rooms are in need of a refresh as they are looking quite dated. I also noticed what could only be described as chlorine upon arrival to my room, as if there was a swimming pool located down the hall from me on the 16th floor. My only guess is it's the cleaning products used for bathroom sanitation? Regardless, the room was comfy and quiet.

Kaveh Espili: I absolutely loved my stay here. I stayed here for several weeks during the summer of 2019 remember my time here very fondly. The staff is extremely hospitable and the property is beautiful. The rooms are exceptionally clean and modern and the salt water pool is amazing. I’m planning another trip to Austin this summer and will definitely be booking at the fairmont!

Beka Dougherty: Stayed in town for almost a week for work. While the rooms was very clean and comfortable, the location was close to lots of great places to eat... it was the service of the staff that really set this stay above other places we've stayed. Everyone on staff that we interacted with was friendly and helpful.One staff member that went above and beyond for us all week was Brigida. She was spectacular. Our room was always fresh and clean. She smiled and interacted with us in a warm and cordial demeanor. Hotels are easy to find, there is one on every corner. BUT. Good staff is not easy to find! Keep it up JW Marriott!

Jqiatx: Comfort and care: when I need to feel taken care of this is where I come.I love sitting on the back patio, as the namesake implies, during all 4 seasons.In colder months there are tables with fire pits in the center, plentiful and tastefully placed heaters, and my personal favorite fluffy lap blankets.The kids giggle at the novelty of a champagne vending machine instead of candy bars.The food is excellent: even the kids food was perfectly prepared.I am a working single mom - I seldom receive any “care” and am always giving it. This is a splurge that I find worthy every penny. The service is the best in town. It is attentive but manages to be elegantly and quietly done. It’s where I get to come and feel fully taken care of.

Natan Tran: , the rooms were spacious, and the accommodations were perfect. The suites had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including a full sized fridge, mugs, plates, bowls,... absolutely everything. I wish I could have stayed longer, and was sad to leave. One thing is for sure, Colton House gave me the best hotel experience ever during my many visits to Austin.Rooms: Well decorated and cozy, with a luxurious European flair.Noteworthy details: Convenient parking, loved the ability to go directly from the parking garage to my floor. Ingeniously private and convenient!!

Our room was so pretty and we had a lot of space. The little kitchen was great to have! They have a bar inside that had great drinks. Staff at check-in was so kind and helpful. I'd definitely come back.
Erin Oelkers-Mondie: We loved everything about this hotel. We were traveling with our three young kids and the staff did everything to make our stay better every day! Chris H: Friendly service, unique beautiful western chic decor, roomy — a fun experience! Our room had Two double beds, a nice sitting area, a kitchenette with tall fridge, a small table that seats four, and a bathroom with two sinks, a giant shower, and a separate toilet room with a locking door. For two people there were nine hangers, four shelves about 3 1/2 feet long, and a smaller shelf above the hanging area. It might not seem like enough, but that’s a minor detail. The room and the entire place are beautiful! And then there’s the cafe with food truck and outdoor patio, and a library-type space above. There’s also a small pool that does not look like a hotel. All really relaxing and make you feel like you’re getting away.
Erin Bennett Pennell: We enjoyed our stay at this trendy hotel. Our room was nice with a small kitchen and full sized fridge. The front desk staff was friendly and the coffee/cocktail bar with a pool put it over the top. There are some restaurants, venues, grocery stores, shops, and bars you can walk to from this location and getting Ubers/Lyfts was easy to go anywhere else you needed in Austin.
Stephen Beatty: I give the hotel and staff 5 stars. Everyone was very nice, especially Chasity at the front desk. Unfortunately, my wife was bitten by a dog at the pool which kind of ruined our trip, but we can tell the hotel is taking the incident seriously, and they were gracious in providing us with first aid. We would definitely stay here again.
Cecilia Villanueva: Just had a fantastic stay here with an incredible room and even more incredible staff that really went above and beyond! Customer service is more than alive and well here, Chastity went above and beyond to help us when we accidentally made a reservation for the wrong night. She was incredibly warm and welcoming as our first person of contact in Austin!

Brenda Conlan: I LOVED this hotel - it is on my Hotel Hall of Fame list. The Heywood is hip, chic, IMMACULATE, beautifully furnished and QUIET! The staff is extraordinarily kind and helpful and the hotel is situated near cool coffee shops and restaurants. I only stayed for one night and I would like to go back for a week! It is very close to downtown Austin and I recommend it heartily to fellow travelers.Walkability: Close to coffee shops and great eats
Marcie Heitzmann: My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Heywood last week. The facilities were the near perfect boutique feel - home-like with great personalized service. Mason, Erin and Ian made us feel so dang welcome and comfortable. They have numerous suggestions for restaurants and activities. They made it hard to leave! The architecture is way cool and upstairs outdoor patio deck is a great space for when friends come over. Everything flows. Our room was upstairs with a private outdoor patio space, a super huge soaking tub with a skylight and extremely comfortable bed. Most importantly they have a robust Cuisinart coffee maker with their own coffee blend and all the trappings for no extra charge. The community kitchenette is a fabulous amenity. They were very generous with a freebie basket full of goodies and even had a cool Eclipse tote bag as a gift since we were in town for the event. All in all a superb value and terrific time.

It's such a calm, peaceful oasis, and it's so well located for the Eastside and beyond! I feel like the Heywood is my home away from home, and I especially have to rave about how immaculately clean it is. The Heywood is SPOTLESS, so comfy, beautiful, well designed, handicapped accessible, and has the kindest crew! Thank you for being my retreat in Austin, everyone!Rooms: So roomy, beautifully appointed, highly functional, spotlessly clean, with fridges, coffee, instant hot and cold beverage taps, comfy beds, great showers. All unique!Safety: Super safe! I have stayed here three times as a female solo traveler and never felt anything except super safe.Walkability: You can use the Heywood as your base for East Austin, and if you're sportif, it's walkable to downtown, too.

We were looking for a home-type vacation rental for some of our family and friends attending our son's wedding and came across the Heywood Hotel.I strongly recommend anyone that is considering a vacation rental property needing 7 bedrooms to book with Heywood Hotel. Each guest has their own space and bathroom!Having the entire hotel was spectacular and it quickly became our comfortable home for the wedding week. It went beyond any of our expectations. The staff were helpful and friendly in every encounter. It is beyond spectacular!
Kaprice Frye: This hotel was an absolute gem!! We stayed in room 6, which had it's own private patio that was gorgeous. It's tucked away on a pretty quiet street that is still central to so many things. The hospitality was second to none; we will definitely be returning.Rooms: Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and the shower was soo relaxing.Safety: There were key card locks on the outer entrances that added an extra layer of protection.Food & drinks: We ordered food really late and it got to us in 15 minutes. There were a plethora of restaurants to choose from.

I feel that Will and Erin struck just the right balance of professionalism and helpfulness, while allowing me my privacy and solitude. While I didn't run into the housekeepers since I was gone from 8am-5pm, they were thorough and thoughtful. My room was spotlessly clean every day when I got "home". The Heywood has a kitchenette-type area inside the main building
Elizabeth Neukirch: Incredible service and beautifully appointed rooms and common areas! We appreciated the personal touch with chocolates and local craft beers to welcome us, and the staff gave great restaurant and activity recommendations w/a map to guide our walks. We spent time reading books on the front porch swings and enjoying the private patio area on the second floor. Will definitely return the next time we're in Austin!
