William McIntosh: Sean with the bike department saved my life TWICE the other day. I ended up with two flat tires at different times throughout the day, but both incidents were within reasonable walking distance to REI. I could not believe how quickly he was able to fit me in as well as how fast he was able to repair my flat tubes. I was back out in minutes both times. Kudos to Sean and the rest of the team! Very solid group

Jqiatx: Pro tip: get the membership when you know you want to buy $30 of stuff - they give you store credit for the equivalent of their one time membership fee.Pro tip 2: sales are the best way to experience REI. A Patagonia Nanopuff normally retails for around $200 to $250. I got mine on super sale in the iconic Patagonia Navy for $100. I recently saw a silver in the return sale section for $57.Great deal. Great service. Best quality on everything. This is where true deals live.

Natalie Tan: The selection for summer clothes isn't the best coming for a visit in early January to be honest. Wanted to get a pair of convertible pants but there were none in stock for my size as a 5'1 person who has a small waist- all the sizes were way too massive and I was swimming in it. The sandals designs were also limited and I settled on a black pair of chacos, since I badly needed a new pair to bring back home as I was at the tail end of my trip. Staff are friendly and helpful as always though.

Sam Hagey: I've been shopping here for years, And if you view my reviews you'll see I'm inclined to leave positive reviews far far more frequently than critical reviews. That said, last week I needed to drop off a warranty item and the staff of the entirely empty store couldn't be bothered to answer questions about new products that I may need to choose from as potential replacements for my older rod being warrantied. I was prepared to toss the lower cost item I was warrantying and upgrade to a spendy rod but decided to leave. Customer service goes a long way in this industry, folks.

Gerry Mccone: I've been a long time customer but I want to give these guys a particular shout out to their customer service. Every time I go into this particular store the guys at the counter are always super nice and helpful when it comes to returns & exchanges. Yeah, they got great shirts that feel very authentic to Austin but it's the awesome customer service that keeps me coming back year after year. This company and the people that work there make it super easy to support local.
