Sandy Lewis: I enjoy going to the senior center a few times a week. We have fun watching movies on monday and play bingo on Friday. We also have people come in and talk about our health and how to improve it. We also have a texas food pantry come on Wednesday so we can healthy food for us to pick out what we want. We feel blessed to get this food for our home.
Shecal Jones: It is a resource I tend to ho to but unfortunately their recommended list of resources in certain areas are out dated or does not exist. But i still appreciate their help in pointing me in the right directions. I find it hard to get someone on phone, but emailing seems to be the best way to communicate. AGAIN I appreciate the people and all they do to try to help while I navigate caring for my mom.

Dog Training Elite Austin: We absolutely love Age of Central Texas and the amazing staff members there! Everyone is incredible! We have a great relationship with them through our volunteer Therapy Dog program and visit members, staff, and other volunteers to bring smiles to their faces. It’s been a very rewarding experience for us and our volunteers!

cathy thornhill: My mother has resided at Brookdale NW Hills for 7 plus years. This is her home and my family considers this community as our home as well. Every care team is greatly appreciated! The executive director makes this community a success. Under her guidance, each care team is thoughtful, prompt, and knowledgeable. The dining manager and staff are friendly and treats each resident as a family member. The food is delicious, presentation is beautiful, and the dining hall is inviting. The maintenance, housekeeping, and transportation manager has many responsibilities. He manages all areas perfectly. He is willing to assist my mother and me without hesitation. The receptionists greet incoming visitors with open arms. They are welcoming and do not hesitate to assist or direct. The med techs are knowledgeable and kind when administering medications. The nursing staff are phenomenal and do not hesitate to tend to my mother's needs. The nurse practitioner is exceptional. She takes care of my mother in more ways than one can ever imagine. Last but not least, the caregivers truly are caring! They take exceptional care of my mother. We are blessed to have a supportive, loving, and caring home for my mother!
Cathy Heck: I can't even really put into words how grateful we are that we found Brookdale Northwest early in my mom's Alzheimer's journey. Oddly, in many ways, we believe that she is happier now than she was during many of the years before she came to Brookdale ... she has discovered a group of friends that she loves to be with ... and they love to be with her. But mainly, we are so thankful for the staff. All of the caregivers, of every level, are kind and gentle and loving toward her. We could never ask for more than that! Thank you to everyone who watches over our mom every day.
Peaches Nutt: Beautiful entrance reflects the tone and care taken on all four floors. Excellent dining staff bringing room trays on request really know the meaning of customer service. From fun birthday happy hour with Bob Apple playing country and more on guitar. To interesting programs on the brain aimed at the lay person level of understanding. And friendly Starr up front!
Anna Rose: The staff at Brookdale Northwest Hills is so incredible and truly care for each of their residents. I would recommend Brookdale to any family in the Austin area who are looking for a wonderful place for their loved one to live.
Suzanne Pittman: I moved my mother from San Antonio to Brookdale Northwest Hills in November 2018 after my father died so she could be closer to me. I was fortunate to have a friend who worked there and whose opinion I highly valued, so I felt an additional sense of security about my decision. I visit often at different times of the day and can say there's never been a time that I observed anything that caused me a moment of concern about the facility, staff, or my mother's care. Just the opposite, I marvel at the patience, kindness, and competence of the entire staff. It's also nice to see familiar faces in an industry that typically has a high turnover, most of the staff at BNW has remained the same. The effort everyone puts into making life enjoyable for the residents is heartwarming, they put on so many wonderful events. Another thing that makes BNH stand out is the Harmony Enrichment Group, a program for residents who need a little extra social engagement and support due to cognitive decline and/or mobility issues. I'm so impressed with this group, the leaders really get to know the residents and create a sense of community and belonging. They go on field trips, do cooking activities and crafts, arrange flowers for the dining tables, and eat together in the dining room. It has made a tremendous difference in my mother's frame of mind and her ability to adapt to her new environment.

From my first day here I have been so impressed with the compassion, respect, excellence and integrity the staff, the residents and their families impart. I love working in a place full of happy and well cared for residents and staff. The families are involved and attentive, and not just with their own family. There is a great sense of community.

I have always felt supported and the senior team has always had time to listen. I've never felt rushed or dismissed. Watching my Mom over the past several years has been hard at times but the staff at Brookdale NW Hills has always been there with a smile, a hug, good ideas as to how to resolve challenges and above all a sincere wish to help. This building is full of angels. I simply cannot say enough positive things and can wholeheartedly endorse and recommend Brookdale NW Hills as an option for your loved one.
