The executive director makes this community a success. Under her guidance, each care team is thoughtful, prompt, and knowledgeable. The dining manager and staff are friendly and treats each resident as a family member. The food is delicious, presentation is beautiful, and the dining hall is inviting. The maintenance, housekeeping, and transportation manager has many responsibilities. He manages all areas perfectly. He is willing to assist my mother and me without hesitation. The receptionists greet incoming visitors with open arms. They are welcoming and do not hesitate to assist or direct. The med techs are knowledgeable and kind when administering medications. The nursing staff are phenomenal and do not hesitate to tend to my mother's needs. The nurse practitioner is exceptional. She takes care of my mother in more ways than one can ever imagine. Last but not least, the caregivers truly are caring! They take exceptional care of my mother. We are blessed to have a supportive, loving, and caring home for my mother!

Suzanne Pittman: I moved my mother from San Antonio to Brookdale Northwest Hills in November 2018 after my father died so she could be closer to me. I was fortunate to have a friend who worked there and whose opinion I highly valued, so I felt an additional sense of security about my decision. I visit often at different times of the day and can say there's never been a time that I observed anything that caused me a moment of concern about the facility, staff, or my mother's care. Just the opposite, I marvel at the patience, kindness, and competence of the entire staff. It's also nice to see familiar faces in an industry that typically has a high turnover, most of the staff at BNW has remained the same. The effort everyone puts into making life enjoyable for the residents is heartwarming, they put on so many wonderful events. Another thing that makes BNH stand out is the Harmony Enrichment Group, a program for residents who need a little extra social engagement and support due to cognitive decline and/or mobility issues. I'm so impressed with this group, the leaders really get to know the residents and create a sense of community and belonging. They go on field trips, do cooking activities and crafts, arrange flowers for the dining tables, and eat together in the dining room. It has made a tremendous difference in my mother's frame of mind and her ability to adapt to her new environment.

Maylene Bird: My family hired a consultant to help us find a great place for my mom. Brookdale North Austin was number one on the list and our consultant even said she would put her own mother here. The staff work together to accomplish the tasks that need done regardless of job title. They are compassionate about their work to make the best community for the residents. They have lots of activities in house and a weekly field trips. Meals are great. And best of all, Mom loves it. I spent a lot of time over the summer visiting Mom after a hospital stay, and I can truly say this is a wonderful community and not just a facility. It’s the staff that makes it so great.

Mike Wiederkehr: I was hesitant to place my mother in an assisted living facility, but had a friend whose mother was at Brookdale North Austin, and he was nothing but complimentary about the facility, the staff, and the care his mother was receiving. When it became obvious that my mother was going to need more assistance than my brothers and I could provide, we decided the time had come to find an assisted living facilty for her. On the advice of my friend, we scheduled a visit, and were pleased with what we saw. Within a week of the visit, we had my mother moved in, and had her apartment set up with her own furniture, family pictures, and everything else needed to make her place feel like home. She was also able to bring her dog, which has been a life saver during the covid pandemic. When the pandemic hit, and everything shut down, she had her dog for company. The staff also set up video calls with my mother so she could stay in touch with us, even though we could not visit her in person. The staff has been nothing but wonderful during the past 18-24 months during the lock down. I appreciate so much the work they do to keep my mother safe. My friend was right. This is a top notch facility, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for assisted living for a loved one.

Dane Anderson: I have been helping my mom for eight years. She has lived at several communities. She is a hoot, but can be challenging. Finding good memory care has been difficult. For the first time, I sleep at night without worrying if she is safe, comfortable and carefully looked after. She is happy here. The staff are really her friends. They are intelligent, loving, funny and the take their responsibilities very seriously. The director, Megan, and the medical supervisor, Erica, are the best I have ever seen. Medical supervision is excellent. The front desk staff is incredible. Caretakers are great. For us, this wonderful facility has been a needed godsend in Mom’s difficult life. This is what you hope for your loved one.

The staff here has been so attentiveand went out of their way to make my mom feel at ease. Anytime I have had a question, the response time has been fast, which I really appreciate, since there is still no visiting. John Guerrero: Brookdale North Austin…Simply Remarkable!My mother is 85, very independent and used to being on her own. After her fall like anyone, she wanted to go back to her house she’s lived in since 1962, but given her health situation assisted living was recommended. I researched several assisted living facilities in North Austin/surrounding area. By far Brookdale North was the best overall choice, the most economical and conveniently located. This facility has amazing, caring staff with a PASSION for providing the best quality care and life style for their residents. The facility is just the right size, very clean, has a floral scent and has a beautiful decor. Also has a beautiful courtyard for residents to enjoy. The chef prepares a variety of excellent quality meals which my mom thoroughly enjoys. Also Brookdale has a variety of activities and field trips residence can participate in if desired. She has actually gained some weight, feeling much stronger, and her vertigo severity has been significantly reduced. My mother is very happy, is now very active and has built life-long relationships with staff members and residents. Finally, my mother recently lost my brother, her son. Brookdale staff and residents have ALL been there for her and myself and have been especially attentive to my mom through this difficult time. Grandma Texas: OK peeps!! I'm giving it the highest rating possible and I have not even visited the facility yet.My mother passed away not too long ago and I have been donating certain items to different facilities.Living in Anderson Mill Brookdale North is just right down the road and it seemed like it would be a nice fit. However being Grandma Texas I do like to do my research on anything and everything I do.So I call today March 3rd 2019 and the sweetest gentleman on the other end I do believe his name is Christopher👍 in the memory Department🤗 he's a really sweet kid we chatted about what I could possibly donate that they would accept I'm talking DVDs things of that nature.And as Christopher answered every question I could possibly come up with never once did I feel he was in a rush to cut me short to get off of the phone he was very personable knowledgeable and extremely kind-hearted. So one more time I shout out to Christopher in the memory Department at Brookdale North YOU ROCK ✌🏼And to tell you the truth Grandma Texas thinks that you should have a raise. y'all have a good afternoon now. And by the way I will be dropping off those DVDs and some nice comforters.

Sheryl Brown: I moved my father here in September following the hurricane in Florida. He is so happy. The food and care are so much better than what he was receiving in Florida. The staff has been extremely helpful in getting him established. This was truly an answered prayer for us. I knew he needed to come to Austin so that I could manage his care without getting on a plane for every crisis and sickness. But I was fearful from visiting many Austin assisted living facilities that the cost would be so much higher than what we had been paying. Brookdale North Austin is perfect for us. And although I live in Northwest Hills I can get there in less than 15 minutes most of the time.

There's always a congenial receptionist to help if you need it, and the place is kept up beautifully. Right now the staff in the memory-care unit is the best it has ever been. Each time I visit I notice one or more of them going out of their way to help and comfort the residents, most of whom need lots of assistance. No one is ever just sitting in a corner ignored. The staff are attentive and helpful. Beckett Meadows is clean and well kept with a beautiful courtyard. They were welcoming and glad to have her great grandchildren come in and enjoy the courtyard. They wanted her to truly feel like this was her home.

Andy Hernandez welcomed us with open arms, made our tour amazing, answered all the questions and made our moving in and out experience amazing. He also took the time to develop a relationship with my Mom and she felt comfortable asking him for anything she needed. Gabriele was an amazing Physical therapist for my mom. Elizabeth Lundquist: Beckett ReviewOur mom moved into Beckett Brookdale in March of 2020. Staff members, Andy, Allison, and Moses helped to have her new apartment feeling like a home within days which helped her transition. Two weeks later the facility was put on lockdown due to the Covid virus and residents weren’t allowed out of their rooms. The staff really stepped up to keep the spirits of the residents high during such a challenging time. Instead of being able to see friends and family, the staff were the visitors. They helped with so much – from Natalie playing daily with our mom’s cat, Jae helping our mom get on Tele-med video calls or zoom calls and even helping with word challenge games our mom played. Once it was safe, bingo started up again and Allison always made sure our mom was attending. Very thoughtful.As for the facility, we’ve been pleased. All staff members are friendly. The place is well kept and smells nice. The food has been good and our mom has enjoyed speaking with the chef. Although staff member Andy is the Sales Manager, he has always been willing to help the residents where needed and give us guidance on who we should contact if we had a question. The staff has also taken the Covid virus very seriously for safety reasons and their efforts have paid off. Very few cases were reported at the facility and when one happened, it didn’t spread at all. We are very pleased about that.The Covid virus changed many duties of the staff members adding additional tasks not usually needed for all residents at all times such as delivering meals to every room for every meal. Restrictions are being removed when appropriate and being reinstated when needed thus changing the staff duties continually. We look forward to the day when Allison can hold more activities with the residents to keep them engaged and entertained and the caregivers have fewer tasks and don’t feel so overworked. Someday, our mom will be allowed visitors that can help her with things the caregivers are having to do now therefore allowing the caregivers to handle their original job duties.We would recommend the Beckett Brookdale facility to others.Signed,Elizabeth and Karen L.

Personalized Pet Care, Inc.: Our mom has been here a bit over a year now and is in much better shape than when she arrived. Not to say that this past crazy year hasn't brought setbacks, but the management and staff have worked very hard and are quick to respond when we have a situation arise. We could mention certain individuals who stand out to us, but each team member carries their own value and sense of caring, so we will just give a big thank you for the peace of mind we have overall and trust that these certain team members not mentioned by name will know who they are.

Cindy Pittman: My dad was there over a year -- in fact we moved him from one of the "newer" places to Brookdale Beckett Meadows. He was very happy there and mom visited every evening. He wasn't much of a joiner for activities but mom would attend. The staff was kind and caring! And we are still in touch with Andy Hernandez who is just amazing! We moved dad back home -- it was too hard for my parents with the virus not being able to visit and watch TV together in the evenings.

Our mom is always telling us “these people are so sweet and good to me here”, which is so comforting to hear. Dave Howard: Until his unfortunate passing, my father spent a considerable amount of time within the Memory Care unit at Brookdale Beckett Meadows and my family couldn't have asked for a better situation in the latter stages of his life. Always treating him as one of their own, the entire staff is knowledgeable and thoroughly attentive while fostering a cultivating, engaging environment for all their residents. It goes without saying that I highly recommend you consider this home for your special loved ones and continue the family atmosphere of unity and care.

Brandy Willett, who mans the front desk, and is always going above and beyond, is one of the most helpful, kind, and amazing people and makes visitors and residents feel welcome every day. I visited at all times of the day and night and never witnessed or experienced anything but a warm, welcoming, homey, clean environment that was there to be of service to those who live there.

Sharon Burckardt: My Father lived here only about 4 1/2 months, then his health had a turn for the worse. The entire Brookdale Beckett Meadows staff treated my Father with much kindness and compassion. Hey went out of their way to make sure he was happy and comfortable. We were very sorry to leave, but my Dad now needs a higher level of care. I highly recommend Brookdale Beckett Meadows.

I liked that she has a company vehicle, this way my mother can know who it is coming to her house each time she pulls into her driveway. its not some random car. my mother liked this idea as well.once i started conversating with carla i instantly knew she cared, and wanted the best for my mother. it sucks in todays world you have to watch out for people,BUT NOT WITH CARALA AND HER CREW!they know what they are doing with my mother, helping her along with bills, inspect food expirations and provide reminders for appointments.all the things that i would have eventually failed to do. they can do.Please take this as my recommendation.

Lynna was wonderful with him, making him smile right away. She needed very little instruction, and she was very capable of taking care of my son needs like feeding and putting him to nap and everything. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for nanny service.

We often use nurses from Brightstar but today I had an experience of working with the best of the best. in today's world where mediocrity is the norm, Joseph Liedecke stands out above the rest. He was working on a case for us and put in a tremendous amount of effort to get it completed. Despite dealing with a very difficult family, Joe maintained his professionalism. Most nurses would have given the referral back stating they didn't have the time to deal with the problems but Joe kept on doing what a good nurse does. In the end, the referral was cancelled and he earned zero for his hard work. Rather than becomming angry he thanked me for the opportunity. He is by far one of the best nurses I have had the pleasure of working with over the 29 years we have been in business.
