Dan: Stayed at East Austin KOA during the eclipse. The staff here were wonderful. Just before and during the eclipse the staff put on a very nice lunch for their guests along with providing eclipse glasses.Even though it was mostly cloudy, we all had glimpses of the event and were able to experience day turning to night for about 2 minutes.I highly recommend this park! The lots are good sized with more than enough room to spread out on your sites.Great Job and Thank you for assisting in making my reservations during this very busy eclipse event.Dan Zunich

Joel Teay: Hotel highlights Great value

Ed Smith: Although we arrived a little early, the campground staff was able to accommodate us and move us to a pull through campsite. No obstructions for our satellite antenna and the site had cable TV available.Noteworthy details: The campsites are all gravel with nicely paved roads. They all have fire rings for a true camping experience.

Charlotte Lee: This was one of the cleanest, best maintained KOAs I have ever been to. As soon as someone leaves, they come in with a spray bottle and clean the hookups box, check the fire ring and make sure there is no garbage laying about. They also will trim up any unruly grass that may have sprung up while the guest was there. The rest rooms were spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The front desk staff were not only friendly, but fun and happy. This is well positioned, closed to Austin so we were really able to enjoy the city and not have far to get back to our campsite. Pool was not open when we were there due to weather. Would definitely stay again.

Tim Neil: Stayed here for a long weekend about a month ago. We were very impressed with the campground. It is surprisingly quiet for how conveniently close it is to Austin. Campground was very clean with a very nice store and clubhouse. Clubhouse has clean spacious private showers. The staff were very attentive and you could tell they take a lot of pride in this place and the product they provide. We had a deluxe RV site which has big concrete pad, large stone fire pit and very impressive table and chairs. I even hear that they are going to be doing some work to expand the park and even make it nicer. Can't wait to go back for another visit.

William McIntosh: Sean with the bike department saved my life TWICE the other day. I ended up with two flat tires at different times throughout the day, but both incidents were within reasonable walking distance to REI. I could not believe how quickly he was able to fit me in as well as how fast he was able to repair my flat tubes. I was back out in minutes both times. Kudos to Sean and the rest of the team! Very solid group

Victoria Ball: Isabella was so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable! She helped my boyfriend get ready for a month long trip to Nepal, I don’t think he would have been prepared without her help & knowledge. Thank you so much!!

Jqiatx: Pro tip: get the membership when you know you want to buy $30 of stuff - they give you store credit for the equivalent of their one time membership fee.Pro tip 2: sales are the best way to experience REI. A Patagonia Nanopuff normally retails for around $200 to $250. I got mine on super sale in the iconic Patagonia Navy for $100. I recently saw a silver in the return sale section for $57.Great deal. Great service. Best quality on everything. This is where true deals live.

Samuel Schroeder: James in the bike section was great. Thanks for everything!

Thomas Fackler: A shopping experience. In some cases in reverse. But every nature dungeon has its goblins. And every goblin has its riddles. And all riddles are an opportunity for dialogue.

BJ Derganc: They have one of the best bike shops in town with a really knowledgable and friendly staff. Really appreciate the fantastic service and advice we’ve received over the years.

Caleb Price: Shoutout to the guys working in the bike shop. Matthew took care of me well, he was very knowledgeable and professional and helped get me back on the road. Thank you!

Lavender: Enrique was very nice and knowledgeable in the shoe section. They were very patient with all of our vegan shoe questions and helped us find shoes with their shoe knowledge. They deserve a raise or extra vegan snacks!! 💜

Natalie Tan: The selection for summer clothes isn't the best coming for a visit in early January to be honest. Wanted to get a pair of convertible pants but there were none in stock for my size as a 5'1 person who has a small waist- all the sizes were way too massive and I was swimming in it. The sandals designs were also limited and I settled on a black pair of chacos, since I badly needed a new pair to bring back home as I was at the tail end of my trip. Staff are friendly and helpful as always though.

Joe England: A great source for high quality winter wear and equipment for technical backpacking, biking climbing, and hiking

Andrea Perrine: Super kind and educated staff! Helped my friend join the co-op and get her first pair of blundstones without ease.

Stijn Saelens: What a cool place to come with the RV. And you don't have to be racing enthusiasts to enjoy the very beautiful circuit. We were lucky that we could also visit the observation tower. Really worth it.We were here when there was nothing to do on the circuit, but probably very busy when there was a race.

Val S: We enjoyed our stay at the campground. My wife and I flew into Austin for the MotoGp a number of years back and wanted to revisit the area. The laundry facilities get a 5/5 from me ( clean and cheap with great machines. The pool was the only thing that lowered the rating as we discovered a dead bird in it before we entered. It was 86 out and full sun but after fishing it out we decided not to go in. McKinney Falls state park is only 15 minutes away and provided a couple days of entertainment biking hiking and swimming. We were a week early for the MotoGp this year so the campground was at about 10% capacity which was a bonus. We would stay here again.

Pat Wilson: As a race fan, this is the perfect place to camp for races! I have been here for multiple events over the last 4 years and love it. Clean facilities! If you are NOT a race fan, or here for a racing event, I suggest you check the COTA schedule first before booking!Nearby activities: It's one of the premier racing facilities in the country! And Austin is 15-20 min away!

arturo marin: Stayed the weekend for a Concert, from booking to check in the staff was great at answering all my questions. There was also edge addicts racing that weekend and that was awesome to watch the cars fly by our site. Would definitely love to come back for a race weekend

Wayne Arrington: Made reservations for two nights. Tried to cancel reservation on the day of arrival, because I was admitted to the hospital. Tried to call several time and could not get through. Sent an email and did not receive a response. This morning I get an email thanking me for my stay.Follow up, I received an email this morning from the GM apologizing for the lack of communication. Jade issued a full refunded and offered a 30% discount on our next visit. Thank you Jade.

Tom Drake: We were traveling through Austin Texas and planned on staying three nights. I looked at other rv parks but want to stay outside the side. I stubbled on COTA. Great price, amenities like showers, a pool and a dog run. We were there as the track was getting ready for a race next week. The track was playing music over the PA during the day. I can only imagine what the place will be like next week. There were only two other RV’s there while we were there. Definitely with stop there again if we are going through Austin again.

Callie Valentine: This is a hidden gem for concerts, we walked to & from the concert and the staff was very accommodating! The sites are concrete and paved sitting area was very spacious! The pool an awesome plus! Clean bathrooms, shower rooms, office & pool! We will definitely stay here again!!!Nearby activities: Perfect place to stay for concerts at the Germania Amphitheater

David Beatriz: Austin Lone Star is my home away from home when I’m staying in Austin. Clean, safe, well run and beautifully situated, with a staff that always goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is exceptional, this is one of my favorite places to stay in the country and one I always look forward to returning to.Nearby activities: Plenty of restaurants and stores within walking distance. HEB supermarket and Burlington clothing store are close by, as well as a new brewery and an expanding community helpful to travelers. Austin is 15-20 minutes away by car.

Ben Tuttle: Excellent RV spot, great facility and awesome location near downtown Austin.

andrew goldwait: I stayed at Austin Lone Star two separate times for long term stays - both roughly for 8 months each. Mary, Pam and Joanna all were consistently helpful and accommodating. Mary went out of her way to be flexible countless times, and was always extremely helpful and understanding when I needed to extend or amend my reservations. The grounds were always well kept and quiet, while still being a stones throw from downtown. I recommend this park to anyone traveling for just a few nights, or looking to stay long term. Thanks again!

Allison Lovell: The best customer service!Service: 5/5 …

Ed Gray: Good spot for visiting Austin in a motorhome.
