Arda Kert: I love to bring my son before his schoolday starts once every other week or so. They open at 6:30 and staff is always smiling and kind. Apparently pancakes 🥞 and eggs 🍳 are our go-to orders for breakfast but there is a rich menu that will please almost everyone. The only drawback I can think of is their music choice, and I don’t think you can do much about it 😅
Thomas Kirby: Really friendly service and very knowledgeable about celiac/what is required to avoid cross contamination.Really great breakfast/brunch spot. The corned beef skillet and the spuds deluxe are to die for.Very loud place.Great spot for celiacs.

Becky C: We had a great experience here at Forthright Cafe! From the get go we were well taken care of. We sat outside and enjoyed the cool breeze and it wasn't too loud from the traffic on the street either. We both couldn't pass up the chicken & waffles and so glad we didn't. It was yummy but could've been better. The chicken was a little burnt and didn't have that great of flavor/seasoning and the waffle was thinner than expected but overall it was good! The fresh lemonade was delicious & my friend tried the lavender chai and enjoyed that too! We would definitely go back and try the avocado toast!
Gina Valero: BEST AVOCADO TOAST I've ever had.Nice and quick service. Salad on the side is BOMB and the avocado toast tasted like heaven. A must try if you go!They have a cute terrace to eat or you can go inside, when good weather is definitely recommended to eat outside! it's not busy at all and it feels great. 😊
Vanessa Baires: We went here after doing a retro boat rental and it was in walking distance. We went on a Sunday so I wasn’t sure if we’d find seating as a walk in, we have 2 toddlers so I never know what to expect when we go to a restaurant with kids. Honestly, it was such a good experience. We went around 1:15pm and they kindly sat us a corner booth/table and service was quick! They were all friendly and helpful. We ordered a burger, avocado toast and biscuits, everything was so yummy. I’d def go back. Prices and quality felt just right too. It’s pretty chill but so cute! We had so much fun.
Aaron Peck: My wife and I had a late breakfast here while in Austin on a short weekend getaway.It is a quaint little restaurant. It has a large patio area for more seating on nice days.The service was good and very attentive and accommodating to changes to an order.My wife got the American breakfast which is your basic breakfast items. If a breakfast/brunch establishment doesn't do the basics well then it is not decent in my opinion. They did a great job with the eggs and bacon. I got the biscuits and sausage gravy with added scrambled eggs on top. The biscuits were well made and fluffy. The sausage gravy had wonderful flavor and texture. It was a good meal.I would return here for breakfast or brunch in the future.
