Jake Zoccoli: We were visiting Austin for a concert and found this little gem. The staff treated us like family, and the locals were as friendly as you could hope for. We visited Dive Bar 3 out of the 5 days we were in Austin. They don't serve food, but Belle and Bella will encourage you to order it in! Wonderful experience and an easy recommendation!

My wife booked it as a last minute dinner after SXSW and we were amazed by the both food and the service.The ceviche was one of the best we have ever tasted, and the Chicken Entree was excellent. The mocktails were brilliant - we both had one based on Lyre's London Spirit, which tasted like real gin, but better.Best of all, our waiter, Jordan, was the perfect host and delivered just the right dose of Southern hospitality to make this a very memorable evening. Highly recommended!

Mikaela MacKenzie: Beautiful hotel that carries so much history. Must get there early or make reservation if you want seats for the live music. Music is Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun and listed on the website. The bar gets packed, but the bartenders are pretty good about recognizing when new faces show up and taking orders. Bathrooms are down the hallway across from the stage.

Soak in some old school country vibes accentuated with country music.Food was disappointing, ordered the lamb sliders, which were cold and the lamb was a bit undercooked and also coldish.The pretzel was decent and the show stealer was the beer, cheese and mustard sauce. It was amazing.I’d Definitely highly recommend this iconic hotel for everything but the food.

Madi Markovich: My husband and I came here after our wedding to celebrate with a few of our guests and we had such a great time. One of my guests was on crutches and Erin asked if it would be okay if he carried her in, he did and sat her down. It'd been difficult for her to keep up with the group following surgery and I really appreciate Erin getting her laughing and smiling. Erin also had the DJ announce us and got us a round of drinks. Our service was amazing all night. We intended to bar hop but stayed here for the majority of the night and had a great time. Highly recommend and Erin was amazing!

Savannah Bishop: I wanted to make sure I came on and left a great review. My friends and I came here for my bachelorette party. We had a 5pm reservation, and we were almost an hour late because of traffic. However, we called ahead, and the wait staff were amazing. They held the table for us, and even allowed us to stay when our 1hr 45 min were up. They moved us to a different table, but we were never asked to leave. My friends and I enjoyed the charcuterie, drinks and calm atmosphere after a stressful trip into downtown. I would definitely come back and would recommend!

Tim Anderson: Bars aren't my scene, but I liked the vibes here. The atmosphere was great, and the bartenders were efficient, professional, friendly, and approachable. The place didn't feel cramped, and it helps that the bouncer was counting the number of people entering and exiting. For photos, videos, or highlight reels, there's a huge wine glass they serve a frozen drink in. The drink tasted alright. The looks and experience of sharing the drink was fun though as long as one is okay with drinking from the same cup as others.

Johnny !: Volstead is a great little spot sharing a back patio with Hotel Vegas. There is a food truck that's pretty good, and hotel Vegas always has good bands. They often have bands that share the back patio. Numerous events happen there all the time. Take a friend and go see some music. Volstead will occasionally/ often have a DJ bumping some good dancing tunes. See you get an electronic element in contrast to Hotel Vegas live bands. Usually when hotel Vegas has a cover, Volstead will frequently still be free. And the patio will be free.

Felicia Clark: First off, I love Volstead, they have great shows and event. This is about the brunch only. A group of us wanted to go to a Drag Brunch and I had previously been to an amazing drag show here before and suggested Volstead because it was a brunch as well and I have never had the food here. I looked at the website and it clearly states "Brunch provided by our food truck, Clandestino". When we all got there, we noticed that the bar was not set up and the food truck was not open. We thought they were just behind, no big deal. When the bar opened we asked when the food truck will be open and the bar manager said that there are tacos and no truck. So I said, this is a drag brunch with no brunch? She said yes. We all did not eat breakfast because we wanted brunch!! So we settled for a mediocre Taco Deli taco and went elsewhere to eat after the show. The bar manager was the bartender and she was super sweet. But the one thing I that will disappoint me and keep myself and others from coming back is false advertising. I know that life happens, but If you are no longer having a "brunch", then update your website/social media accordingly so people that planned on coming for this can make other plans, its just common courtesy to your customers and hurts the credibility of the business.Now, lets talk about the drag show. It was absolutely amazing! The queens were really late, but if you are privy to "drag time" then it shouldn't surprise you, and we were ok with it. We ate our tacos and had cocktails while waiting. We will absolutely come back for another show, but if you are looking for a Drag Brunch, I would say pick from one of at least 30 in Austin that will serve you an actual brunch.

Sarah Herrera: So glad we found this place! We were next door getting our car washed and the owner of the car wash recommended we go across the street to get a drink while we waited. The vibe in this pace was so cool. A friend that was with us said that the place felt like something from a movie scene. The bartender was very nice. I had the frozen Irish coffee. It was SO good!! I love souvenirs and the was excited to keep my cup. We will definitely be stopping there next time we are in Austin!
