Lone Star Ranch: what do users think?

Jessica Macias: Beautiful views, wonderful horse, and friendly wranglers. This is a must! Emma and Maddie are amazing at their jobs!

Emily sweet: Working for Lone Star Ranch has been an amazing experience for both myself and my growing family.I started here as a wrangler during my college years. After graduating with my bachelors' degree in Agriculture, Lone Star Ranch brought me on in the event worldLone Star Ranch values our beautiful Livestock, family life, high quality customer service, and educating our visitors on ranch life here in Austin Tx.It has been so exciting watching this business grow so quickly.

Angie Touchstone: As an employee of Lone Star Ranch, I can attest that it is a good place to work and people are happy to work here. The owner, Tina, is very understanding and will bend over backwards to help her contractors and employees in any way she can, if needed. She also is very passionate about helping her clients to give them a one of a kind quintessential Texas experience. As a small business that provides an exceptional service, at times there are growing pains and this business is growing with popularity at a rapid pace, which makes business very busy at times, as we are all working very hard to provide a wonderful experience for our clients.

Lexi Vargas: We recently held an event here with 60 attendees, and it was a fantastic experience for everyone! I can't express how pleased we are. We really got the true Texas Experience! Tina, the owner, was exceptional, as was her entire on-site staff. We look forward to host more events here in the future!

Cameron King: Had an amazing experience with wrangler Emma, she was kind, knowledgeable, and made the experience that more enjoyable! Definitely would love to come back!

Ellie Gordon: Alex helped me feel super comfortable, guiding the horse to a certain point and then letting me take over. It became one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! My horse was really chill on the trail once he was going. It was such a relaxing, scenic, beautiful experience! The cats and goat on the property are a definite plus! Lol

Shayla Deppen: We had a wonderful experience at Lone Star Ranch! They’re organized which only helped us feel more confident as inexperienced riders. The grounds were very clean and the horses looked well loved and cared for. Our wrangler Jordan was patient and kind with us as we all have only been on a horse maybe twice. She gave clear instructions for riding and was reassuring with helping to guide our horses. The trail ride was so beautiful and we got to see a variety of landscapes from meadows, cacti, and we even rode through a few streams. I highly recommend them and would go again.

Laura Valerio: Took the 1.5 hour trail ride with Emma for our 3 year anniversary and she was nothing but pleasant and sweet as can be. Would do this experience again in a heartbeat

Max Robin: Emma did a great job matching our horses to our personalities. She was also great at conversing through our hour and 30 min ride. Geaux Tigers!

Leonard Lawrence: booked this. We had Jordan and she was super patient with us for our evening 45 minute ride. This was the highlight of our trip and if you are on the fence book it now before it is sold out for your time frame.

Kaylee Ana Garcia: Very fun everyone one was great, already went here twice and hope there will be a third time

Adam Beaudoin: Jordan is an amazing guide and this ranch is very cool. They have a lot of horses so you will end up on one that suits you. The land around the ranch is beautiful. We saw some deer and crossed a little river. Would recommend!

Connor Fallen: Had a blast doing archery and axe throwing! Thanks to Jillian and Savinnah for being excellent hostesses. Will be back for the horse rides.

Jack Swanston: I cannot think of anything more Texan. Lone Star Ranch is such a good experience for anyone who is looking for a full day of Texas. They have such a fun summer camp. Group corporate events and anything that you want from a Texas experience. Overall one of my favorite things I have ever experienced. The trail rides are so great and the country side is so gorgeous.

White Fences Equestrian Center: what do users think?

Peanuts: I have been riding here for about two months and have loved every moment it! The stable hands along with the boarders and other riders are so sweet, when I started here I was very nervous that I’d be judged for not riding very well and I’d be an outcast but that was the complete opposite! My fellow riders are so kind and even when I have a bad riding day I receive encouragement and compliments on my riding. I love working with Savanna along with all of the lesson horses and will forever cherish my time here!

Janet Eakman: . Silvia recommended boots that stay on in all weather and footing conditions, since he’s in a pasture. She suggested an awesome hoof treatment product. And puts my horse in her horse’s stall when he needed.Besides being a knowledgeable horsewoman, Silvia is kind. She leads by example – keeping traditional barn politics to a minimum and valuing every person and horse there. White Fences is home to advanced riders with $100K horses training in dressage and jumping. But it’s just as wonderful a home for Western riders, beginner or intermediate riders, and cute, sweet, less expensive horses. Everyone is treated with the same respect and kindness. It’s a gift.

Chassidy Rana: My time at WF are some of the happiest days I've known! It has been my childhood dream come true. I was a complete novice when I arrived at the height of the pandemic. I found a kind welcoming community who were generous with their knowledge and care. I never once had to worry about my horse's wellbeing even when there were power outages and water shortages. This is also one of the only dressage barns in Austin. It is a slice of authentic Austin that is extremely rare these days. I visited a lot of places before landing here. They were an absolute no brainer. The property is stunning and constantly being improved. Silvia and the team go above and beyond for every level of rider and horse.

Jennifer Oliver: I've been boarding my horse at White Fences for the past year and a half. I really appreciate all the wonderful care he receives at this beautiful farm. When the area experienced severe weather during February of 2021, the White Fences team really outdid themselves in making sure the horses were comfortable and eating and drinking well around the clock despite very challenging conditions. The facilities are very nice and are always well maintained by the hardworking crew. The owner is friendly and welcoming, and I have become a better rider thanks to the knowledgeable trainers.

Annemarie Diaz: Beautiful, well-kept facility, they treat both horses and their riders with care.

Amalia Nordin: White Fences Equestrian Center is a wonderful community of equestrians, trainers, and peers. The staff all work very hard to grow equestrians, and make sure all horses are very well taken care of. The owners are a hard working family dedicated to facilitating the love, learning, and growth of the equestrian community and it shows! I have been with this barn as both a boarder and a student for over 3 years and I can tell you, this barn is so unique and you won’t find anything quite like it. I love riding here and I absolutely love how focused, and dedicated everyone is to making the equestrian sport a love as well as a hobby! Check them out!!

Trea Cleaves: way how much information Damy was gathering about me and my exact weaknesses/problems that totally effect my riding/communication with horses.

Secret Embers: AMAZING EXPERIENCE, especially for a beginner like me. Amy was patient....VERY PATIENT and understanding, which made it that MORE fun and educational. I felt safe and secure, even though I was slightly nervous. I'll definitely be training here more often, and I recommend this training facility to ALL levels!

Rebecca Braun: I've taken lessons at many barns in my life, and the lesson horses at this facility are by far the best. They are well trained so that when you do the right cues they do the correct movements. They're also younger and more talented than any I've ridden.

Heather Ruggero: When we discovered White Fences, we knew we'd found our barn "home". My daughter has taken lessons and leased here for a year and a half and has grown so much as a rider. Such a holistic approach; the students learn everything about horse care, tack, best practices, riding and sportsmanship. The trainers' love of horses and riding is infectious. My daughter has learned from both Amy and Daemie. They are exceptional teachers, both very caring and knowledgable. The barn owners are thoughtful and kind and they have created a beautiful atmosphere. Every visit to the barn is like a little vacation.

JW Poon: I have boarded my horse here for 2 years now. I was about to review this place, when I read the very long and detailed positive review by Sharat Shekar that appears here. He took the words right out of my mouth. My experience has been exactly like his. I second that 5 star review. Amen!

Chloe Strycker: Cons:The mud in Manor takes off the horses shoes, if your horse has problem hooves consider stallingMost people do dressage, kid lessons, jump, hunter-there is not a big field to gallop or stick and ballIt's not cheap but fair for the amenities

gabriel andres romero cabrera: Excellent place to take care of your horses, ride and ride

Amanda Jones: Beautiful facility!

Bear Creek Stables: what do users think?

Mireya: Our teenager is taking western lessons. She loves it. Staff is great. I like that students groom the horse before the lesson and learn to tack them.

Deb Paris: I just finished my four-lesson package at Bear Creek Equestrian Center and I feel compelled to leave an honest review. My experience is with the Western Intermediate Class. Even though they are group lessons they have the personalized feel of private lessons.. The instructor Shae pays attention to each student’s needs individually. Shae herself is extremely experienced and knowledgeable in Western riding techniques and equitation. I appreciated the fact that she paired each horse with the individual rider’s skills and abilities. The lesson horses here are fantastic. I got to ride a different horse per lesson and each horse was responsive yet gentle. The horses are in great condition, very healthy and happy and seem genuinely eager to do their job.The two lesson arenas are well-maintained, clean, and safe. The tack room is super organized, each horse has their own tack and equipment and everything is labelled with their name.If you or your child are interested in learning horseback riding, or just want to improve what you already know, I highly recommend Bear Creek Equestrian Center.

michael pozzi: Great place and great experience for our kids

Brass Ovaries: , brush their hair, and just connect before we rode. We had the amazing opportunity of partnering with the stables for our holiday gift exchange and we are so thankful! Hope to work with them again!

Andy Hernandez: Great please, very professional, treat all the horses with respect... God bless this calm and relaxing place

Sydni Mueller: God I love horses so much. Majestic creatures, just like Miriam. The beacon of my life, the moon to my stars, the ebony to my ivory. God I love horses.

Alyssa Davis: THE best stables in the Austin area. Horseback riding lessons, boarding, shows.. the works! 5 STARS ⭐️

Lillian Kilventon: I’m a 35 yrs old who has ridden horses on and off for years. I recently switched to Bear Creek after an injury at another barn. I was looking for a more experienced instruction. Bear Creak has at least 10-12 different horses at different levels, depending on your level. They teach both English and Western.Unlike some barns that let you do whatever, Mariam makes sure you understand the basics before putting you on a more experienced horse. I also appreciate having adult riding lessons for those who take their lesson time more seriously.Sometimes you may get a different trainer which gives riders opportunities to learn from different instructors styles. The tack room is very organized. Each saddle has a pad, girth, and saddle rack with labels for the appropriate horse and their bridal. Each horse also has their own tack box labeled with their name and equipment. Fly masks, halter and lead rope and also provided for each horse. There’s an covered area and outdoor arena. From my understanding there has been some ownership changes and new instructors brought it. Compared to other bars I find this place very clean and the equipment well maintained. Yes, there’s dust, it’s barn.Overall I’m very pleased I found this lovely barn and these lovely people.

Olivia: I’ve had nothing but good experiences at bear creek! 100% recommend!

Susan DeKeyser: My daughter loves riding lessons here. Very hands on experience and she feels like she gets better every time she’s there. I highly recommend taking lessons or even just doing a summer camp here.

Bear Creek Equestrian Center: New owner. New lesson and boarding programs. Including local showing. This has changed from Bear Creek stables to Bear Creek Equestrian Center.

MEGHAN LAMONTE: We adore this stable! The lessons are amazing, every single person that works/trains there are so nice and knowledgeable. The horses are so sweet and well taken care of. We love Bear creek and HIGHLY recommend!

Rio Vista Farm: what do users think?

redtaul buteo: Amazing electric horses with extended range. Sometimes have to wait as it takes minimum 3 hours to supercharge the horses to be ready to ride.

Alyson Eberle: My daughter has been riding at Rio Vista for a couple of years. This barn is clean and they take really good care of their horses. The summer camps are also very well run. We live in Westlake and its a bit of a drive, but once you get there its worth the trip. My daughter's trainer is Laurie and I highly recommend working with her.

sommer austin: like they have with riding, so we feel it is worth it. The teachers are great but we love Lauri. She is so good with the kids. Our kid describes her as “strict and fun”, which seems to embody the sport itself

Claudia Scott: . Susan is fully invested in every one of her students and horses and the whole team at Rio reflects that spirit and commitment: She expects the same commitment to the sport and animal from her clients. The lessons are demanding and filled with constructive criticism that help students improve their abilities. One aspect I have long undervalued in this sport is the ability to grow as a rider and as person. The term: "Growth mindset" comes to mind and this is something I would put in the same bucket as Rio Vista Farms. Lessons at Rio are structured in a way that students inadvertently have to evaluate their personality type, triggers, overcome fear, conjure determination and grit - wonderful life lessons we all benefit from.

Paz !?: This is an amazing farm the best horses for the best rider:D

Lesli Mitchell: Amazing horses, amazing staff and amazing clients. It's always going to be around people who are honest, professional and extremely knowledgeable.

Southern Trails: what do users think?

Santos Santuchi: Simple awesome

Andre Isima: In the first place I was wondering if it could be tight all these 5 starts reviews… and actually they are! They have the actual Texas vibe, this sweetness and genuine people they are 🙏 misti made sure we were ok and along with her coworker they really knew what they were doing! I never felts scare or in risk again they knew what they were doing!

Tammy Strumpf: I’ve been on many trail rides and this was amazing. So clean and the horses are absolutely stunning. You can tell the workers love and take such good care of them. My horse dolly was an angel. Likes to trot which I loved. Don’t hesitate to book. We did the sunset ride. And our guide was CC. SHE WAS FANTASTIC. THANK YOU ☺️

Theresa: Wonderful time with beautiful happy well trained horses! Cant wait to see boots again!

Mark Knous: Went on a ride for my daughters birthday recently. This is a great trail ride. The guides gave us great instructions on how to use the reins and move the horse. The horses were very smooth and we really enjoyed the ride. I would strongly recommend you book your trail ride here. Also they took pictures which was a plus.

Denise Campbell: Congratulations Southern Trails on your new location . I’ve had the pleasure of riding with Southern Trails for the past few years. It is always a great ride with wonderful horses.Today was my first ride at their brand new location.Same great horses and guides but WOW what a view .From the welcome center at their new barn to the lush green trails and wide open spaces . Beautiful trees and water crossing. The cows are an experience as well .You’ve got to book a ride .You’ll get a peaceful , easy feeling

Georgina Thomas-Watson: regardless of experience level as groups are mixed

Darren Green: Today was our first-time riding with Southern Trails and all I can say is it is an incredible experience. I have had a fear of riding horses for quite some time now, but I had the honor of riding Rosie, and she was amazing and broke me of my fear of horses. Our guide Kate was full of knowledge, not just of horses but also the area which was great! All the horses we had were well behaved and so easy to ride. Then to top off this 5 Star experience were the views. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Southern Trails!!

Olive May: I highly recommend the Little Dude Experience for anyone considering it. It was the perfect choice for my son’s 4th birthday. Our guide, Cadence, was simply phenomenal! From brushing and saddling the horses to riding in the arena and on the trail, every moment was memorable. It was worth every penny! I couldn’t be happier with our experience. The horses, especially Dolly and Bob, were incredibly friendly and responsive, unlike any other horses I’ve encountered before.”

Hawk C: Not bad this is definitely a trail for those with 0 experience. It is a full on walk with really chill ponies. You'll just wind your way around an acre for about an hour. That's it. 1 point of history interest the rest is just walking. It's nice to get out into nature and I mean it was lovely just nothing out of the ordinary or unusual.

J. J. Smith: Kate led us on a pleasant ride at the Manor facility on Bear, Bob, and Earl. Kate is knowledgeable and a great guide. Highly recommend!

Art Lair: Excellent facility. Our family enjoyed riding their trails.

Kim Goss: If you are looking for a great trail ride this place is awesome! Kate was our guide and she did a great job! Thanks Kate for a fun time! Thank you Zach and Misti you have a very nice place.

Clayton Peachey: We had an AWESOME time riding horses in Texas! This is our second trail ride we have done with Southern Trails and is always the best experience. The horses are extremely well trained which makes you feel very confident…even for someone like me who has never rode! And our guide Kate was super friendly and really knew her stuff! We will keep going back in the future. Great way to visit Austin and see some authentic Texas nature.

joseph borovich: We had a fantastic trail ride! Just outside of Austin this was a beautiful place to get away and relax. The horses were great and are obviously well kept and well loved. Mississippi was great to ride and I felt very comfortable with him. Our guide, Kate, was very sweet and made for some great conversation while on the trail. We learned a bit about the farm’s history while on the trail as well. If you want to have a nice trail ride you won’t be let down. Highly recommend it!

Emma Robinson: . The property has some cool history. Our horses

Jeanne Paul: Good for young kids or people with very little riding experience. The horses are calm but the trail is uninteresting and the ride is very slow with no trotting or galloping. It's also very level so not very interesting to more experienced riders. The guide was great, but took a photo of our crew in font if a large barren sign, so it sucked the ambiance out of the photo. Hopefully they will add longer rides with a more interesting trail in future

Jennie Montano: I have been promising myself to get back onto horses for a few years. Southern Trails popped up on Instagram suddenly and I just booked two rides with a few days.I gave myself two Sunday mornings to head out to Manor for a trail ride around the property there. Devyn was a great guide for both my rides. Loved learning about the property and the horses - so many rescued and given lots of love. This is a great local business to support. Everyone I met love horses, seem to love what they do and enjoy each other and taking their guests out for rides.Looking forward to taking some more rides either in Manor or Canyon Lake.
