I have been to many Petco's, and this particular store (Brodie Lane) has impressed me the most. Great customer service from the time I walked through the door. Store is very clean compared to others. Took time to show me different products. I even enrolled in Vital care, and I couldn't be happier with the money I have saved. Thank you!


Stumbled upon Dr. Hayes years ago through Thrive Vet Care. Had been to so many vets with my dog who suffers from OCD and severe fly-biting disease (some call it focal seizures?). I had given up on getting help with my dog and had only come in to the vet for updated vaccines. Dr. Hayes walked in and instead of immediately laughing at my dog, he sat on the floor with him and immediately asked questions about who my dog is and what his story is. He was the first vet my dog and I had been to that stopped the exam, took down all of the information he could gather from me as to where we have been in the past, what we have tried, and listened to what my goals were for my pup. He told me he’d take the info and start doing some research. And he followed through with a phone call with some helpful info. Ever since then we’ve worked through meds and behavioral practices to help my dog. We’ve since adopted a new pup with a history of abuse from predominantly males, and I was hesitant to bring the pup to Dr. Hayes, but dr. Hayes called me prior to the appointment with a plan to meet the new pup outside and spend time with him walking around before trying to bring him into the office. He took his time with the new pup and allowed the pup to warm up to him. Ever since then, he’s been our number one guy to go to. With the switch ti Vetco, I found out today that Dr. Hayes even advocated for his team prior to signing on with Vetco. He requested that if he signs with Vetco, then his team that worked with him under Thrive needs to have a job there as well. So they did. They signed him on and brought along five (I think that was the number) of his team members. He has a lot of ideas to bring to office, and I’m excited to see those ideas in action. If Vetco/Petco knows what’s good for them, they’ll let him execute those changes without push back. As long as they have Dr. Hayes, they’ll get my money. He’s a rare and wonderful find.


Called to schedule an appointment for my pup to get a haircut, as I do every three months. I called about one-half hour after opening; no one answered. I called later in the day. After numerous rings, a young lady answered to tell me that they were understaff and she'd have to call me back to schedule an appointment. As I write this, it's been over 24 hours and no call. They are far more interested in directing the caller to their website rather than showing the customer a basic courtesy by answering their phone.

I like Petco. It's the Target of pet stores. I wish you guys would sell a few more of the lesser known higher-end brands. Currently, we have to go to another local store Tomlinson's to get our dog's dry food.
