The best part of CFA are the people! CrossFit has really changed my life and my perspective on so much. There are so many things that CrossFit and it’s community of people, especially the women, have taught me. I’ve finally found not only an outlet I was missing since my gymnastics days, but also a group of people who continually inspire me, support me and others, and are genuinely interested in seeing their peers meet goals. CrossFit has completely solidified my viewpoint that people and relationships matter most in life.


Thank you CFA coaches for always scaling the WOD for my medical needs, but still making the WOD fun and challenging. I may not be able to lift heavy or ever be a part of the CF games, but I do feel like a part of CFA family and with that I could never go back to a gym. It’s been a privilege meeting and working out with great people. I feel honored to be selected CFA Athlete of the Month. CROSSFIT PROUD!!!

We’ve changed our identity, when that happens it typically warrants a new name. It’s my pleasure to formally introduce you to SlothFit! This is the most sustainable and enjoyable pursuit of virtuous fitness which prioritizes safety, consistency, education, peacefulness and serenity. We look to break away from antiquated fitness paradigms like “pain is weakness leaving the body,” and instead encourage our members to do what feels right. “Get comfortable being uncomfortable” too often gets misinterpreted as “just be uncomfortable all the time,” completely neglecting the “get comfortable” part. It doesn’t have to suck, it doesn’t have to hurt, fitness shouldn’t be an abusive relationship. We accomplish this through specifically grooming our coaches to coach the people first and the body second, constantly working to improve experience because the more a person enjoys something the more likely they are to consistently do it. We have also shifted from conventional CrossFit programming, moving toward conjugate method work with an emphasis on strength and conditioning rather than high skill barbell and gymnastics biases. We still give plenty of space for competitive and high skill athletes to move up the continuum but we allow each person’s progression in competitive fitness to be an opt-in rather than an opt-out. Wherever you’re going in your fitness journey, you’re not getting there today. Slow down, be strategic, play the long game, and enjoy the process. We are calling all sloths to follow us down this road to happier, healthier relationships with our wellness and sense of self.

If you’re visiting our site for the first time, chances are you’re ready to really, seriously, finally get in shape. Well, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve designed our training program and gym to teach you how to make fitness a regular, enjoyable part of your life. You’ll get results as you expand your social network, working out with and getting to know some of the most amazing people in Austin!

We understand that high-intensity, functional fitness may seem intimidating if you’ve never done it before, but we put a priority on teaching movement, movement that is essential for living life as a human being. We are your one-stop-shop as we integrate yoga, cardio, and strength training into your workouts!

We offer a free intro session to chat with you, introduce you to our gym and how we work out, and get a better sense of your goals and what you’re looking for. We then build your technique with functional movement patterns and confidence by providing optional foundation sessions or optional personal training sessions to be sure you are off to a solid start. Through the years, we have found this method to be an incredibly effective way to get new members off to the best start possible.

Just walking through the doors for the first time is typically the hardest part of getting started and most people are completely surprised at how different the atmosphere of our gym truly is compared to your typical “globo” gym. Our community of members and coaches is extremely welcoming. Everyone in our community had to take that first step and knows what it feels like to be the new person. We completely understand what it takes to put yourself out there, know it is worth the effort, and we want to help you succeed in every way possible.
