4worldlovers: I was building a new home in Wolf Ranch and designed on paper a fireplace I had envisioned. I stopped in at Georgetown Fireplace & Patio and Michelle Pompillo helped me. She is so knowledgeable and talented. She showed me the fireplace inserts that would look good in my design and then went a step further in suggesting I make my fireplace a floating fireplace. I loved the idea, but I had no idea where to find a person to bring this new drawing to life. She recommended a few people for me to meet and told me their strengths. I ended up with the exact fireplace I wanted. Throughout a few more visits, I ended up buying a set of gas logs and a powder coated double glass door fireplace face cover for our patio fireplace. We are very satisfied with the product, sales people, warehouse, installation and accounting department. We live in East Texas and are remodeling our home. Firewood is plentiful, so a wood heater is a no brainer for auxiliary heat. We began looking for a particular wood heater, but we're unable to find it much less anyone familiar with European style stoves (Jotul). You would think that east Texas would have more than 2 retailers who sell wood stoves, also the stove we wanted had a 6-9 month back order date. We are 2+ hours from Georgetown but called hoping to find one of these stoves. We're glad we did because Michelle is a wealth of information. She genuinely knows her stuff about all the available wood stoves. We made the trek to Georgetown and are very impressed with their store. They have a large inventory of various stoves, eye candy for all things fireplace, heaters, outdoor kitchens and furniture. We ended up getting a different woodstove than the one we were looking at as it better fit our needs. Michelle knew all the parts we'd need. Also, she informed us of the 26% tax rebate on the stove and installation! Their installers were also very knowledgeable (Mr. Breese and family), after a month they drove to our home and installed it in 4-5 hours. We didn't use all the parts so they returned them and we are awaiting a refund. From start to finish it has been a great experience. Thank you very much!!

This is per the Texas Railroad Commission. Add the price of the valve to the gas log set to get the total price. If the fireplace is outside or uses natural gas, the safety pilot control valve is optional.
